That's all of the comedy on Canadian tv. It's unwatchable and I'd hardly call it comedy, but to each their own. You got me. Not all comedy is banned. You got me good, you little rascal. I concede, and bend the knee. Some forms of supposed comedy are still allowed. So because you don't like it comedy is dead ( but considering the assholes you find funny.....)
I watch lots of Canadian comedy it's looser than it's ever been it just doesn't have to rely on the shock to be funny anymore. That style was stale low effort bullshit anyway.

And the Supreme Court vindicating the comedian does not make everything ok. Society is moving more and more towards censorship, and eventually the Supreme Court members are going to change, and the ruling will be made in the other direction. I think long term.Yeah because joking about drowning a person with a physical disability is so innocent. Truly this is proof we live in North Korea because that was deemed as going too far.....
Yeah, as long as we're not as bad as North Korea, then all is fine. Real high bar you have there. And I'm upset they're trying to ban holocaust denial, so yeah, I think mocking a disability in a comedy act should be perfectly fine and a comedian can absolutely make legitimate jokes about that subject matter, even though that's not what actually happened.

In a 5-4 split decision, the top court ruled Friday that while comedian Mike Ward's act ridiculed Jérémy Gabriel, a young man with Treacher Collins Syndrome, he was chosen as a target not because of his disability but because of his fame.
