What compels people to think that way? when all available evidence suggests human life is simply not worth it, most people end up having children anyway? What gives?
Can you provide us with a summary of that evidence?
1) Babies can be born with all kinds of unpleasant, or even horrible, conditions/ailments that will make them suffer, as people.
2) All kinds of bad things (that are not inherited from birth) can happen to a person, throughout their lifetime, which will make them suffer.
3) Planet Earth is already overpopulated as it is, resources are becoming more scarce all the time.
4) A lot of people are simply too stupid/inept to rise beyond the mundane realm of things, which means their lives will always be boring and mediocre and likely stressful as well, so to keep them alive would be inhumane, because they're not happy with their lives anyway and never will be. Keeping them alive to serve as cheap labor makes sense on paper, of course, but is horribly inhumane in practice.
5) Religion is the only reason a lot of people have for continuing their existence, which is pathetic considering religion is built on "understandings" that are fundamentally untrue (i.e. not in accord with objective reality) and these people would have no reason to live, or at least find it much harder to live, without religion.
6) Humans are a major source of environmental pollution and toxicity, which (obviously) endangers all other living things on the planet (not to mention humans themselves)
7) The worst things in life are much more bad, than the best things in life are good, i.e. the bad things in life outweigh the good things (it's really not even close, for most people)
