But I do admit that the old Bananadick was much more fun to ridicule back in the days (of yore). And maybe that's why he retired.

...and because he was a typical clergyman, you could see the real despotic face of the Catholic Church on him. Needless to say, they did not make-up stories of him secretly feeding the poor of Rome.
