Meh, panpsychism is an attempt to redefine a god so that it fits a compromise between what we wish for and what we see. It's an improvement from pure wish-thinking but..ultimately, falls to the same issue that wishthinking beliefs do. Attempting to describe a thing which isn't there. We might say..."well....obviously, those pagans had it wrong" - but we go ahead and try to prove them right anyway, through redefinition and revision. My description of the troll under your bed will never be accurate no matter how often I revise it to fit whatever we find under the bed. There is no troll.
