The info in the NT, whether people want to get into this or not, boils down to the fact he was supposed to return back in their day somewhere ... but it never happened. People have been reading a 1900+ year text of people talking to people 1900+ years ago, as if it's talking to them today. I don't particularly care if we skip it ... it's up to people here. Someone brought up talking about the paranormal and we can do that too. Or, just dump the whole thing ... it doesn't matter to me.
As I said, the bible jesus did not exist. Maybe someone named jesus did, but not the son of god. Quite frankly because god did not exist either.
Dr Ehrman wrote a book called Did Jesus Exist. If you're interested, there's a PDF version out there too. Jesus did exist, but he was not the son of God.
I really was more concerned about straightening the problems out for people who refuse to see this as anything but real. I've run into people who think things going on today are talked about in the book of Revelation ... and I ask them all the same question: Did you ever read THE FIRST SENTENCE OF THE FIRST VERSE OF REVELATION?
"The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place." "SOON" is not 1900+ years.
"...and I saw clearly that men are not so far from the truth as they generally believe. Their greatest error is in searching for it where it is not, and in attaching it to forms, whereas they ought, on the contrary, to avoid form in order to dwell upon the essence."
