When you were a kid and the bullies at school took your lunch money, did you offer to give them extra money?

Zelenski was the one looking for that peace deal and just about willing to give those things up, so you'd have to ask him. I can't read his mind.
If my friend is getting beaten up in the school yard or getting his lunch money taken, I'm going to step in and try to stop it. If someone across the ocean is getting their lunch money taken, I'm not necessarily going to step in, because the world is a harsh place, and then you die.

I think Zellensky is still ready for peace. I don’t think this will happen. But if China was to step up and say… In fact he did. He had a peace plan that was very favorable to Russia (yesterday). And Putin said he didn’t want it. While Zellensky said he was ready to hear China’s proposal.
So no: Putin has been out of control for a while. He was so even before the annexation of Crimea. And even before the Arab spring + the war in Syria. The man is a spy and Joe Biden said that “he didn’t have a soul”. In fact we don’t even know who he is. I personally believe he might even be some sort of puppet working for some mad mafia-like Russian oligarch behind the scenes.
So on a most optimist level: He is a destabilizing element for Europe + the rest of the world (I mean his entire regime). So I am OK with peace plans, but there has to be a solution to this. And I am like Zellensky: If China has any idea on how to solve that, I’m in
