I was just remembering, back in 2010, how difficult it was for me to get a prescription for pain narcotics when I really needed them. If that was the case, why and how is there an opiod problem? I mean, I would have been perfect to exploit and make addicted, I'm poor and white.

I was listening to a news report about Fentanyl today and couldn't help but think that the extreme restrictions put on the use of narcotic pain meds helped get us here.

If I had gone through my breast cancer surgeries after the big crackdown, I am pretty sure I would have found a way out.  Even the narcotics I was given only dulled things enough that I didn't jump off a bridge.  To this day, I still have pain every damn day and just have to hope that tomorrow won't be as bad as today.
