Here's what I do when I have one:
1-Translate the symbolism in it
2-Try to interpret what the dream wanted to say
3-Wait for it to either unfold in real life, or prove my interpretation to be wrong.
It's a simple process.
If somebody hurts himself or others because of a dream they had, then that somebody is a wacko: they are so full of themselves too.
Your stand is extreme and the cause everybody hates atheist thinking which is disgusting and against natural phenomena , it's one strong point spirituality and religion has; though.
Prophetic dreams are every bit as reliable as astrological horoscopes, and for precisely the same reasons.

Don't get me started with Astrology, actually a Muslim thinker claimed it is mentioned in the Quran:
Quote:Sura 56, The Quran:
https://quran.com/56?startingVerse=75
(74) So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.
(75) I do swear by the positions of the stars –
(76) and this is indeed a great oath, if only you knew –
Personally, I think that cosmic events due to the positions of the stars might affect humans during birth, so I won't be so quick to dismiss the effect of stars' positions.
