It's not the amount (or % of military budget) that matters, but rather the speed of delivery that saves lives. The War started on Feb 24, 2022. F-16s and the rest should have been in play by the end of 2022 or beginning of 2023 at the latest.

Click on the ‘Donors’ section. Scroll down to ‘United States’. Read through the list and learn how much military aid was delivered to Ukraine in the first three months of the war. Then, expand your myopic horizons and learn what US military assets were in place before the war started.

Mr. Gates is as far off on this as you are.

+ The Patriot air-defense systems are very effective. Russia is unable to hit Ukrainian infrastructure as often as before these systems were deployed in Ukraine (despite air and Naval superiority etc.).

    (But since Emperor Belisarius who turned the 1500 year old Hagia Sophia back into a cult place opted for the Soviet Era S-300’s instead there must be something with these missiles that Ordinary who do not receive guidance from God do not understand.)
