Sin is specifically a transgression against God. It is not human morality. If there isn't a god, then the word "sin" is meaningless, and we are left with just plain morality.
Morality is a human thing. It is a set of expectations that we put on members of society so that society can function. It can also be a personal code that helps one get through life and feel good about yourself.
The test of whether human morality is good or bad, depends on values. If we value happiness as a species, that could be the test. If we value preventing suffering, that can be the test. If we value freedom, that can be a test.
However, if we value "doing what Yahweh seems to command, in some obscure passage written by some unknown writer", this may explicitly contradict the above values. God does not value freedom - he values obedience. God does not prevent suffering - in fact bearing suffering well is a sign of faithfulness.
Talking about "sin" on this forum has no usefulness. We don't believe in a god, and therefore we don't believe in sin. If you want to be loving to people, go for it. If you want to be shitty to people, own up to that too. I have no idea what God has to do with it, except you are worried that God is looking over your shoulder, and you might not have been "obedient" enough to this new revealed command.
