But the burning of any book, regardless of it's content is wrong.
Yes, thousands of books every year are remaindered because they haven't sold. But that's different.
Book burning is a political statement and in my mind one step removed from burning people at the stake.
So fucking what if you don't agree with it.
Just because because you don't like it does not give you the right to destroy it.
Yes, I find the bible and the quran equally repugnant and abhorrent, and I'm still astonished that anyone capable of tying their own shoelaces could ever take them seriously.
But to burn them for what they contain?
That would make us worse than the nazi's and the religious nutters that would would seek to "protect" us from knowledge that they deem dangerous.
Afterall how would you feel if a christian or a muslim called for the burning of "The origin of species"?
