If their preference leads to a democracy that put trump at the trigger of half of the world’s nuclear weapons eliminating the strategic autonomy of the only counterbalancing nuclear power in the world, then their preference can go to hell.

That's easy for you to say, seeing as how it ain't your sister getting raped or your fingernails being torn out.
