Go back and reread the exchange. I was replying to your claim that the Russian people are powerless to change Russia's policy. I didn't say you cared about Putin's fall. Rather, my point was that the Russian people can indeed change Russian policy, so long as they are willing to overthrow their autocrat.

Why do you think democracies are permanent?

Again, can you link to the post where I asserted that democracies are permanent?

Dmitry, when you have to misrepresent my positions in order to be relevant in this discussion, you are not only being dishonest, you're also revealing that you really don't have any worthwhile points.. Do not reply to this post of mine unless and until you 1) link to my posts which assert what you claim they do -- or recant your dishonest claims, and 2) you have a reply that is actually relevant to the discussion, instead of trying to lasso me into a discussion about abortion or religious evils.

Lacking that, you will lose readership as I will plonk you onto ignore.
