Does reading a lot of Wikipedia give people a wrong idea how science works?

RE: Does reading a lot of Wikipedia give people a wrong idea how science works?
We have lived in this house for 17 years now. So far the most threatening thing that I have witnessed was my son's car getting egged.

Of course, it was the first night he had it and he was none too happy about it. But no one got shot.

Even though I am in Texas it's not the wild, wild west.
I'm your huckleberry.
