@FlatAssembler, you have a very naive view of guns, their dangers, and their worth as a deterrent,

It is naive to think that such a complicated problems as gun violence has such a simple solution as gun prohibition. And it is absurd to think that people giving up the most effective way of defending themselves is somehow going to end mass shootings.

What's truly fucking naive, is to believe handing civilians with no weapons training (the overwhelming percentage of civilian gun owners) a bunch of guns will actually make them better able to defend themselves. Untrained civilians are more likely to harm or kill themselves or innocent bystanders rather than successfully protect themselves. If you knew fuck-all about the subject, you'd know this.
