Are you sure you interviewed at a computer company? Since those don’t exist, maybe you were interviewing at a fish-canning factory (which would explain why they didn’t ask you about algorithms).

I am pretty sure. In Mono (not the famous one having something to do with NET framework, some Croatian one), they gave me a task to make a CRUD list of cars using ReactJS and MobX in a month. I had barely heard about ReactJS and I hadn't even heard about MobX, so I failed at it and they rejected me.
