That is like asking how high somebody's body temperature has to be before you try bloodletting. You should not try bloodletting until you have solid mechanistic evidence that it works. We do have such evidence. I suggest you spend more time looking at the issue objectively and less time thinking up absurd analogies and fellating Kleck.

ETA: I also note that you immediately jumped to the conclusion that "doing something about it" == "gun control". I suggested no such thing. The question was crystal clear as asked as was your deflection.
