Given the number of famous women associated with London, like Victoria, Elizabeth 1 and 2, Diana, Florence Nightingale, Virginia Woolf, Boudica, Thatcher, Woolsencraft, Winehouse, George Eliot, and probably a load more, it seems really odd.

Ye but people statues are kinda old fashioned, and women weren't often allowed to do much.
