I daresay, when push comes to shove, even many Liberal Parents would find common cause with Conservative Parents on such issues. But we'll see more about that in the General once DeSantis beats Trump.

Liberals won't disown their kids if they say they are a different gender than assigned at birth. Liberal parents wont disown their kids if they say they are gay. Liberal theists and liberal atheists don't use holy books to justify being dicks to others.
Now, as far as transgender care, there are a lot of myths and lies sold about what it is. IT IS NOT "on demand". Hormone therapy is used under age, but only after long psychiatric observation and under a doctor's care. Hormone therapy FYI is also used on cis children for non transgender reasons. Gynecomastia is one example. It is when a boy, who wants to remain a boy grows breasts. That can be hereditary and also cause anxiety and depression. Hormones are also given to females involved in gymnastics. That hormone therapy has been going on for over 60 years and has been done safely.
Transgender surgery is not on demand. The cost is expensive for face, vocal cords, Adam's apple, chest and groin average $200-300,000 dollars for full surgery which most transgender cannot afford all of that so many only do face, or chest or just groin. And all of that is done over the age of 18. But the psychiatry and hormones are monitored for years if not a decade to insure the surgery will stick and the patient does not regret it. Regret in surgery is extremely rare, for most it is a success and it is a cure for their mental health. It is no different than fixing a cleft pallet on a kid. The kid will have better mental health as a result. The goal of transgender care isn't to confuse kids or sexualize them. It is to insure their mental well being by allowing them to be who they are. The brain does not always match the plumbing. And since you cant transplant a brain, you fix the plumbing to match the brain. Look up XXY and XYY, those are very real.

Instead of buying the bullshit fear of the hate filled MAGA nuts, unlearn all the bigotry you have been taught and learn from the science, and those who live it. I have personal friends with trans kids. I have conversed with trans people who have gotten the surgeries on social media.
