Because christians are too amoral to be properly conscientious.
Christians have been taught to act immorally by their leaders. People whom I deem "recovering religious" can often come to a moral view point and this the point where their recovery really begins.
I've "cast the Devil out" of a fair few of my hillbilly cousins, this has led to me being a pariah amongst the mass of them. I revel in the station.
