My greivance is the lack of jobs. I am working, but I hate my job and I feel stuck. The company I work for doesn't hire any replacements for those lucky enough to find other jobs, forcing the rest of us to do more with less, only to be treated like crap when we can't do it all. The mantra of the worker these past couple of years has been , "at least we have a job". I am sick of it. I just want a job where I am reasonably happy, treated with respect, and paid fairly.
The final greivance is my boss reminding me about how the company is continuing to outsource, and if we don't do our jobs better, we will lose them. What he doesn't say, is the jobs are going to people in developing countries who can live on much lower wages. My view of things is that it just doesn't matter anymore how good we do our jobs. If it can be done cheaper elsewhere, they will do it.
I know that is just the way it is, but I wonder sometimes if that is the way it has to be?
