Facebook local pages have people freaking out trying to find eclipse safety glasses. In the last few day I have been in more stores than I usually enter in a month's time. Every one has had at least a box full of them that I saw. If we get the clouds they are calling for, it's not really going to matter.
I'm just glad I didn't spend any money on travel or a hotel/AirBnB.
I have read things about how the eclipse might affect pets and other animals. Some dogs may freak out like they do in a storm and birds might think they should be going to sleep. In the Dallas area the full eclipse is supposed to last less than four minutes. For some reason I think the dogs and the parrots can hang in there for four minutes. I suppose we will see.
