Russian satellite crashes in Novosibirsk

Daannng. Debris from the the Meridian communications satellite that failed to reach orbit on Friday have crash landed in Novosibirsk, parts have also hit the village of Vagaitsevo. Good job no one was killed.

This hasn't been a very good year for the Russian space program or the Soyuz rockets. I'm slowly becoming just as concerned by the prospect of our own bloody man-made satellites crashing back down as with near-Earth asteroids lurking out there.
