On my trip this morning to and from the office I went through everything from sprinkles to downpours. The sideways lightning was interesting. The worst part was that the whole trip was lights and sirens...the police, EMTs, and firemen were everywhere. Just glad I made it there and back unscathed.
My rain-gauge (the bed of my pickup truck) collected about 1.5" of water in that hour. Fortunately, I'd already finished my errands for the day. Boomer came overhead about twenty minutes after stowing groceries, and hit hard.
