IIRC, there were some here who thought the idea ridiculous. So, I'm curious, after all that's happened in the last few years and with the MAGA crowd still as mouth-foaming crazy, what do you say now about the chances of a civil war, or at least some type of violent revolt by the maga crowd if we are lucky enough for Trump to not make it into the white house again? My sense right now is that it is near 100% certainty that there will be violent and deadly incidents, possibly enough to disrupt the federal government but surely enough to make life very dangerous for many of us. I don't expect a lot of actual military personnel to be involved, but we have a portion of the populace that is armed like a militia and they are clearly insane enough to take action.
Nothing has changed. The people at the head of the MAGA movement absolutely, positively do NOT want a civil war.
Could local MAGA ‘militias’ (they aren’t that, not really) create some low-level violence, blow up a few buildings? Probably. But the sort of wide-spread anarchy you seem to be getting in a twist over? Nah. Why? Because these Beer Belly Brigade type armed with great-grandpappy’s squirrel gun are no match for an actual militia.
