Given his egomania, I expect he’ll go with Option #1. And I couldn’t be happier about it.

I guess it depends on what "otherwise" means in their rules:

Of course, with Lara Trump as the head of said RNC, I doubt they'd let a little thing like party rules stand in the way.
If he gets replaced, I suspect it’ll be that he ‘declined’ the nomination. Sort of like how local merchants ‘decide’ to pay protection money to the mob.
