Back when I was learning machining skills it was called rapeseed oil. Lubricates and cools, but it spoils. Replaced by other cooling lubes. Then rapeseed got promoted and is now called canola oil. Just like big cockroaches. The go to Florida and get promoted to palmetto bug.
