Yes, and the bar was of the opinion that what he was wearing meant that he should leave.
I don’t know why he was disappointed, since he got what he wanted. His goal was clearly to get himself kicked out - why else would you wear a Trump hat to a gay bar??
For the record, my wife has more than once ejected customers from her shop for inappropriate attire.
