Let's start with this - unlikely things still can happen (like party of clownish, failed painter who also was failed putschist gaining millions of votes). Now second thing - troll lacks reading comprehension as I wrote about racists and not nazis. Most important thing however is one which you yourself note - they're supporting fascist so whether they're nazis, far righters, religious bigots, grifters or simply fools matters little if at all. None of them had objection (or maybe they did but so what) about voting on a fascist.
Quote:I try to view most debates beyond a facile one side is completely right and the other completely wrong, and I always keep asking myself "could I be wrong"? I don't know how competent a president Harris would have been, but I have some solid objective evidence of how inept Trump is, including the testimony of his closest advisers from his last administration, and beyond his policies which vary from bat shit crazy denials of climate change, or insanely stupid claims about the best way to tackle a viral pandemic, to empty rhetoric, his character has demonstrated he is unsuitable to public office, and certainly high office.
I accept that people view this differently, but I don't find any of the arguments they resent address my concerns in any compelling way, mainly I get sweeping vapid rhetoric, and bi-partisan whataboutism. I don't wish Trump dead, I just don't want him elected to public office, but FWIW he has himself implied he wanted people dead, I am here remembering his remarks about "2nd amendment people" sorting out his problem (Hilary Clinton), now even if one were to accept it was not meant literally, it is still a very dangerous thing to say. An off colour joke on a private website much less so.
I think you have a blindspot where trump is concerned, as I have read you repeating his lies about the election he lost to Biden for example.
Sometimes one side is completely right though and it happen increasingly often when left winger "debates" right winger. Left while it have it's fair share of fools and clowns have facts whereas right have feels, racism and illiberalism if not authoritarianism or fascism.
