Neil degrasse Tyson's latest guest - Laurence Fishburne, joined him to discuss the Matrix on StarTalk. Usually, the guests and the topics on this platform are engaging and deeply informative. But this one was different.

Like Tyson, I was a huge fan. But... the biblical references which he started pointing out had an effect on me. Watching him grow in excitement while detailing the origin or theological reference was like being conditioned to believe again. Thankfully, Fishburne shifts the conversation to Greek references like the Oracle. A part of me had to turn it off, though.

Neither Tyson nor Fishburne were asking for tithes and donations... in a rhythm rich and slick..Yeeesss.

Simply, my discomfort and memories of theological rants prompted me to take action as supposed to resuming the program.

How do you deal with content that triggers you? Do you pause it or do you keep it playing?
