How do you know this? Do you pay a lot of attention to the Office of Management and Budget? Do you have the list of USAID projects at home?
Or is it more of a faith-based conclusion? Like "trust what your government tells you."
No one should trust Elon. On the other hand, you can't decide what's true based on the fact that you don't like Elon.
There should be receipts.
As a small example, they are claiming that USAID bought Chelsea Clinton a big expensive house. Once upon a time there were people called "journalists" who could have followed the money and figured out whether this was true or not. Now we mostly have partisan talking heads who parrot the talking points of one side or the other.
The history of USAID is full of questionable programs. Taking a hard look at what they do is just good sense. It would be better if we could do it without partisan hate-based grandstanding on both sides, but that's what US politics is these days.
