So they were right to encourage Biden to step aside and let Harris run.
It's just too bad he waited until after the primary season.
But he wasn’t diagnosed pre-election. If US political parties are going to encourage presidents to step down based on future health outcomes, there’s no point in having a president at all.
People were right to urge Biden to withdraw from the race, but it had nothing to do with his cancer.
