Counterintuitively, seasickness can actually be worse on an empty stomach. That said, the sort of foods they’re giving the passengers here would probably be among the worse foods… even if someone’s wife didn’t force the entire crew to have a swim at the worst possible time and give everyone but the captain ptomaine poisoning.
