Update: We're 50 miles away from the fatal flooding, but we're getting hammered. Yesterday, I went outside to find my truck upholding a big and old oak tree. The first pic, you can see the stump left by the broken tree, at the far right. My truck is barely visible at the far left.

We had a bit of a reprieve this morning but this afternoon it came back for a fifth helping of pissing down. This is what our street looked like as it was falling. The gully in front of our house was empty twenty minutes before I took this shot:
We're in a lull now, sprinkling only, but radar shows us in for another heavy round in about an hour.
Those poor people in the fatal zones, and there are several, are getting battered again as I type.
