In psychology circles, “flying monkeys” is a term often used to describe people who carry out the work of a narcissist or abuser. The narcissist/abuser controls the monkeys by providing something they need emotionally or physically — love-bombing them to secure their fealty. The monkeys aren’t inherently evil, just under the Wicked Witch’s control.
