Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is looking to oust all members of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, a key regulatory component introduced under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, in 2010, The Wall Street Journal reported.
While USPSTF was established in 1984, under provisions of the ACA, it determines which preventive health services, such as cancer screenings and HIV treatments, that private health insurance plans should cover at zero cost to patients.
Citing people familiar with the matter, The Journal reported that RFK Jr. plans to remove all 16 members of the panel because he considers them too “woke.”
