And I avoid places that actually give a shit about hat etiquette like the plague. It’s bad enough that I find myself actually thinking that next time I go to a places that does, I’ll shave swastika into my scalp just so I can get the people there to beg me to cover it up. Why? Because over a decade of going to schools that forbid hats and giving no better reason than “Befehl ist Befehl” has ossified me in the other direction.
