I had to talk to him on Skype because he somehow couldn't talk on my phone line (Probably didn't want a big ass phone bill) I hope I didn't suck to bad at it lol.
Why don't you experiment a bit with other protocols too? Like ooVoo, Tango, FaceTime, etc. You ought to be able to splice its image 'PinP' into your live outgoing image, and have audio and video of your debating partner. Just like CNN, BBC, ABC, and Al Jazeera do it. And it needn't cost anybody anything extra. Especially if you have all the necessary software for a host of potential 'other siders' available to upload to them prior to going on air! The other side only needs a laptop, a tablet, or even just a smartphone with front-facing webcam.
You would have to adjust your image's layout though: move yourself to the left or the right of the image – off center stage! – and angle the cam down a tad or two to cut the empty space over your head by 3/4.
Thanks for the awesome ideas!
