sry i haven't been on in over a week i had work. there are a few comments i want to address
i think you're confused. the language of the new testiment is in greek yes, but the old testiment was originally in hebrew. the passages being addressed were in the old testiment which is why i brought up hebrew.
yes, this is true but that site was brought up to me and that's what i'm addressing. and an atheist site? more like an antitheist site but ok.
actually he did know. i get this arguement all the time but the reason why he did it is because you can't give credit to someone for what they can do but what they do do. if God just sent us to sent us to heaven or hell based on what he knows we'll choose that doesn't seam fair at all so he lets us actually choose and we face the conciquences afterwords.
the things God does in the bible may seem to be cruel but ur looking at small events and God is looking at the big picture. whatever God puts us through on earth is nothing compared to hell. he's trying to help us in the long run, in the after life. our lives on this earth don't matter it's the life after that matters. this is what the bible teaches. you may have a problem with what God has done but this is just because you cannot see the big picture. i hope someday you can see it but until that time comes you cannot understand. you're judging a chess move but God isn't looking at the move he's looking at the game. all the moves put together. and no i'm not saying life is a game and God is the player this is just puting things into perspective.

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
