Orhan Pamuk? Any thoughts? That wouldnt happend in Sweden or anywhere in Europe today.

He has denigrated the Turkish people with his writings and words. No one has the right to do so. Besides, that was the best thing that could have happened to him. To be honest, I think that he got the nobel prize just for that.

I sure did, but some swedes obviously did not.

In Sweden you can write and express yourself and dont have to worry about being thrown in jail.

That's nice, same here, unless you step over the line, and begin to become disrespectful.

But at the end, why would someone like some other country over his own?
