A word of caution: preaching is not only really irritating,it is forbidden here. Please keep your personal superstitions to yourself, there's a good chap.
Perhaps have a go at engaging your cerebral cortex and try discussing something secular about which you have a special interest /knowledge. Most of us would like that and might even stop being mean to you.
Hey, nice to meet you. I intend to take your advice..at the moment I am discussing some things about science in another thread. My only question to you is, why do you hate paddington bear?

brotherlylove, I am getting the feeling from your replies that think I am an atheist because I haven't either heard the good word, or considered it properly. I have thought about it and dismissed it. I find the idea of a personal god silly, and not because I am closed-minded or haven't considered it. I find the concept of Jesus being sacrificed for my redemption equally as silly.
I am not an atheist because I'm not hearing people who tell me Jesus loves me. In fact, I am an atheist because I heard the message all too well.
I am just exploring the subject with you. You mentioned you had searched for God and I wondered about how you searched for Him..and since you mentioned you never checked out Christianity because you had dismissed it as a little kid, I suggested that logically, it bears consideration if you wanted to actually investigate the question of God seriously. I am not sure exactly how one might rule out God in the first place, being that we are finite beings with limited knowledge.
Psalm 19:1-2
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
