Are you sure about the "normal residence" thing? The reason I ask is that I've seen complaints from Americans about pregnant Mexicans going into America [ilegally] to give birth so their child will be a US citizen.
Here a child holds the legal citizenship of its parents.EG should say an Afghan refugee awaiting asylum give birth here the child is Afghan, not Australian.Such children can be (and have been) deported with their parents should their application be refused.
