Conspiracy theories are not "dissent," they are outlandish accusations meant to cover up the fact that sometimes life is really, really shitty. It makes people feel better to think there is some conspiracy out there to make bad things happen, because admitting that bad things happen for no apparent reason by some stranger they'd never heard of is heartbreaking.
Most conspiracies revolve around unfalsifiable claims, just like religion. In the case of 9/11 truthers, they actually made falsifiable claims several times. And they were shown to be false.
Outlandish accusations? 911 is hardly outlandish. Only according to someone who doesn't have the insight will think it is outlandish. 911 has not been "debunked" by any means. How come you so readily believe in the debunking so called evidence but so quickly discard the real evidence which supports an inside job? The government has commited false flag operations before, Gulf of Tonkin for example, and even over 10 years latter people are not convinced of Al Queida even existing. Osama Bin Laden died way back in 03. Finding him in Pakistan was a whole theratrical event too. We are getting bent over by BOTH parties in Washington, we have to sift through all the bullshit and propaganda. Ron Paul is our ONLY hope, all the rest are just pretenders. And he is not rascist, that is such a stupid thing to say. There are tons of minorites who support Paul. He is also the best economist. He will change the system.
