2. I need to become a jerk like God to believe in him? Look, a parent is not a jerk for punishing his/her child. I wish more parents would teach this. Punishment does not equal bad. When a child throws a tantrum in a store is it wrong of the Parent to punish the child? No. It's important for the parent to demand respect just as its important for god to demand respect.

I would think there is a huge difference between sending your child to their room for being naughty and sending someone to burn in hell for eternity. If you can't see that difference.....

3. Stupid to reject God for rejecting ignorance, stupidity...? I don't know if you realize this but if indeed God is real, the idea of him would not be stupid or ignorant. Your idea of him would be. I know you guys here aren't good imagining "what if" scenarios but if you can, you know this statement to be true.

If god is real.... and when you can prove beyond reasonable doubt that he is we'll discuss this again

4. Is Christianity hateful? Well I must admit that Christianity has been used to promote violence. But so has athiesm. Example: hitler. As much as you disagree with him, he claimed to be athiest and often quoted Darwin and wanted to kill what he saw to be the minor race. It's not fair to pass judgment on Christianity because of radicals just the same with hitler and athiesm.

Show us where Hitler claimed to be an atheist. And since in Mein Kampf he makes many calls to god and none to atheism your point is invalid.

5. Does God solve problems with violence only? No. Any leader of a country can tell you sometimes violence is necessary to solve a big problem. He prefers to work in the goodness of our hearts however. Did he convert Rome with violence? No. In fact, the only times he uses violence are to protect his chosen people in the bible. And to punish them.

Or if they want to take over someone else's country.

The last thing I want to say is if any of you are adults, you probably remember a time when you thought you were smarter/better than your parents in your teen years. I know I remember that. Consider what you know now that they were right and you were ignorant and apply that to God.
