It never ceases to amaze me how much some believers have to distort the facts to fit some obscure verse in order to declare, triumphantly, that it's a fulfilled prophecy. "Tyre was destroyed, but not all of it and not permanently, after a prolonged siege, and it's since gone on to become a thriving city; therefore the bible is right when it talks about a city left desolate after being swallowed up by the sea. It's uncanny!" (paraphrasing, obviously)

You are totally misrepresenting the situation. Minimalist was the one who brought this "obscure verse" up not me. He claimed that it was proof of an unfulfilled prophesy saying Tyre was not destroyed. I proved this wrong and your paraphrased quote (wherever you got it from) further proves this. I did not distort facts, Minimalist is guilty of that. I did in fact mentioned it was not completely destroyed as the part on the mainland (not the island) is a current city.
