"Tyre was destroyed, but not all of it and not permanently, after a prolonged siege, and it's since gone on to become a thriving city; therefore the bible is right when it talks about a city left desolate after being swallowed up by the sea. It's uncanny!" (paraphrasing, obviously)
You are totally misrepresenting the situation. Minimalist was the one who brought this "obscure verse" up not me. He claimed that it was proof of an unfulfilled prophesy saying Tyre was not destroyed. I proved this wrong and your paraphrased quote (wherever you got it from) further proves this. I did not distort facts, Minimalist is guilty of that. I did in fact mentioned it was not completely destroyed as the part on the mainland (not the island) is a current city.

As Minimalist pointed out to you in the earlier thread, all of your evidence is hearsay.
Hearsay?!?!?! I sourced my last information against minimalist!
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
