I would love to ignore the idiots who call themselves Christians if they weren't working hard to try to force everyone else to live by their religious views and install religious beliefs into our government. Santorum comes to mind. I don't want to live in a Christian theocracy, so I'll fight them tooth & nail.

And as far as atheist philosophy, you'll find that there isn't really any. We all have our own beliefs & personal philosophy. The only thing which binds us together is not believing in any gods.

Well, not only that, but AndrewT himself is using the oldest evangelistic underhanded trick in the book to proselytize his religion. He's pretending to have atheist friends who are struggling to find meaning in their lives, and requesting that we offer 'atheistic philosophies' that provide an answer to a seemingly 'meaningless' secular existence.

The fundamental problem with AndewT's approach is that he seems to be assuming that if a creator exist that 'automatically' gives meaning to life.

But that is a flawed assumption right there. The existence of a creator would not automatically give 'meaning' to life. That very existence of that creator would FIRST have to have 'meaning'.

I mean, in from the Christian point of view, the "meaning" of life is that some supremely arrogant being called "God" is seeking eternal obedient slaves to serve only HIS WILL for some imagined eternity.

How is that meaningful?

Moreover, according to these scriptures the vast majority of souls that this "God" creates are cast into a place of eternal damnation and suffering.

How is that meaningful?

In fact, what purpose could it even serve?

It can't be a 'lesson' to the people who end up in hell because supposedly they never get out. So what's the point in teaching people a lesson if they are never going to benefit from it in a positive way?

The only other possible reason for it to exist is because it pleases God. So this God must be pleased by knowing that the vast majority of souls he creates are suffering eternally.

There is no "meaning" in the Christian myths.

It's all a bunch of utterly meaningless and absurdly stupid superstitions that could never possible be the desires or plans of any supposedly 'all-wise' benevolent God.

Even if such a God did exist, it would be far from wise, or benevolent.

So there is no "meaning" in Christianity or Catholicism anyway.

It's just utterly stupid nonsense that is completely devoid of anything meaningful.
Christian - A moron who believes that an all-benevolent God can simultaneously be a hateful jealous male-chauvinistic pig.
Wiccan - The epitome of cerebral evolution having mastered the magical powers of the universe and is in eternal harmony with the mind of God.
Atheist - An ill-defined term that means something different to everyone who uses it.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
Clearly Jesus (a fictitious character or otherwise) will forgive people if they merely know not what they do
For the Bible Tells us so!
