Santorum - Rightwing evangelicalism is the founding of our country

Quote:Santorum's target audience thinks that the earth being 6,000 years old is a fact. That is one dumb group.

This is what's interesting. The republicans really seem to by honing in on this target audience. It's not that large. The farther right and the more fundamentalist they get the more they should alienate people thus making themselves unelectable (logically speaking).

It's true that fundamentalists strongly promote their candidates . In church they pass out lists of people to vote for. The criteria for those who make the list is rarely debated beyond things like "Is he really a true Christian or is he just saying this to get elected." If you look at the big picture the promotion of these people happens only within a relatively narrow group of people.

I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise
