Never accused you of racism, just did not see a gypsy reference.

Well, there is no reference, but you simply know certain things when you see them. If I'd have shared this story with my friends on facebook, they probably would have said the same thing.

Now behold the horror of british gypsies.

I know that the british "gypsies" or "gypos" as they were called in some brad pitt movie, are not related to the Cigany that I know.
They are just called gypsies just because they are nomadic like the cigany.

Especially as they appear to be quite a small minority (1977 census has 230.000 gypsys in romania recent estimates puts the number somewhere between 1 and two million out of a total population of 23.000.000).

Well, that is especially why I assumed it. The romani minority are generally poor, and of low education. As I said, they marry young, and reproduce young.
Even a romanian would probably say the same thing. Perhaps I should ask them.
