I think it would be awesome to live much, much longer than most humans do...hop across times periods, experience all different kinds of societies, cultures, and ways of thinking. But eventually I would get bored. Living forever sounds a bit...wearying to me.

But of course, the evidence (as well as personal experience being knocked out, and experiencing decreased levels of consciousness because of brain problems) strongly suggests that when you're dead, you're dead...
