Where's the line. For me it's higher than my personal leanings tbh. I wouldn't sell drugs even though that would be an easy route to financial security. Why? Because of what most people here would claim to be the reason for mankind's success : mutual self help.
Killing people is also quite lucrative.
I agree with excluding religion from the discussion, because that's about rules. Whereas the reason for the consensus is our interest. Interesting to note though that Jesus favoured the whore over the priest, the lawyer, the tax man and the wealthy man.
I agree with Min, lawyers are pretty much at the bottom of the food chain.
So with prostitution it's more the self harm that bothers me. Why fuck with a part of you that is so precious. I'm incurably monogamous and believe that my relationship with a single partner would be ruined by infidelity. I'm temporarily separated atm but I still couldn't entertain the thought of having another partner. I couldn't if my partner died either.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think it's human nature... The reason we make these delineations.
